Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark Supports National Water Safety Month

As Summer Nears, Quassy Emphasizes Lifeguard Certification and Guest Safety

As Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark gears up to welcome guests to Splash Away Bay and the scenic shores of Lake Quassapaug, the park proudly reaffirms its commitment to guest safety through its continued support of National Water Safety Month this May and throughout the summer season.

In anticipation of another busy summer, Quassy has once again ensured that every lifeguard on duty is fully certified through a rigorous training and certification program. Whether stationed at one of the 16 thrilling water slides or watching over the lakefront beach, lifeguards play a vital role in making the park a safe and enjoyable destination for families.

“Safety is at the core of everything we do,” said Eric Anderson, President at Quassy Amusement Park and Waterpark. “Our certified lifeguards go through intensive training to prepare for a variety of situations. As we open our water attractions for the season, National Water Safety Month is an important reminder for all to respect the water, know their limits, and have a safe summer.”

National Water Safety Month brings attention to the importance of water safety education and the role aquatic activities play in promoting physical and mental wellness. Endorsed by Governor Ned Lamont and supported by numerous organizations and agencies, the initiative encourages vigilance, preparedness, and education to help prevent drowning and other water-related incidents.

As a proud member of the World Waterpark Association, Quassy is committed to exceeding safety standards across the park. Each season, the park’s safety team provides new and returning lifeguards with updated training to maintain readiness and promote a culture of awareness and responsibility throughout Splash Away Bay and the lakefront.
