Living Shores Aquarium Debuts New Hampshire’s Only Alligator Exhibit
The All-New Habitat is the Educational Venue’s Largest Addition Since Opening in 2019
The Florida Everglades have officially made their way to New Hampshire, as Living Shores Aquarium debuts its largest new exhibit addition since opening its doors in 2019. This winter, the 32,000 square foot aquarium added a new habitat that is home to three alligators, and other select species that call The Florida Everglades home. Callie, Oceola and Allie are the three female alligators making their debut in their new home this month, officially making Living Shores the only aquarium in the state that offers viewing and educational talks on The Florida Everglades.
Callie, Oceola and Allie crawled into Living Shores after being rescued by the Reptile & Amphibian Discovery Zoo (RAD Zoo) located in Medford, Minnesota.

- Callie – A rambunctious teen that just arrived at the aquarium was found by a local fisherman in Minnesota. At just three and a half feet long, she is the smallest of the trio and with the expert care team’s help, the hope is to continue to see her grow and reach upwards of five feet.
- Osceola – Shy in nature but loves to be seen by visitors, Osceola is also in her teens. You’ll likely find her up close when in the water or on land when you visit. Originally rescued from a breeding facility in Florida, Osceola is currently five feet long and is expected to grow to between eight to ten feet long.
- Allie – The largest of the three gators, Allie is the most dominant and eldest in her early to mid-twenties. She loves to swim in the pond and is currently five and half feet long and weighs 70 pounds.
“We are always looking for ways to grow our educational opportunities here at Living Shores,” general manager Chris Kearsing said. “In 2025, we are all about the reptiles as we open multiple new exhibits and bring a little slice of The Florida Everglades to the granite state as we introduce New Hampshire’s only alligator habitat.”
To celebrate the aquarium’s newest habitat, Living Shores is currently hosting its See Ya Later, Alligator! online sweepstakes. Visitors can enter to win four 2025 Living Shores Single Day Tickets when they visit www.livingshores.com/sweepstakes. The sweepstakes runs from now through Tuesday, February 11. A winner will be randomly selected and contacted by the aquarium team on Wednesday, February 12.
The new alligator habitat is also home to three rescued Red Eared Sliders and one rescued River Cooter. Guests can also view and learn through our educational talks about multiple species of tortoise, many of which were also rescued from different circumstances.
Located next-door to Story Land Theme Park, Living Shores is an interactive educational venue that has been delighting guests from the White Mountains and beyond since 2019. In addition to the new alligator habitat, the aquarium is home to stingrays, turtles, sharks, tropical fish, native species and more. Living Shores Aquarium hosts daily talks at various exhibits with its education ambassadors and animal care team to help to inform visitors of all ages of sea life living around the world.
