Great Escape Unleashes Three New Fright Fest Shows

Great Escape brings early ’90s grunge, sinister dolls and chilling musical storytelling to Fright Fest with three new live shows debuting Saturday, Sept. 26. The Halloween tradition continues Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 25, plus Columbus Day, Oct. 12. This year’s event features four haunted houses, three scare zones and the park’s signature rides.
 

“Fright Fest is a Halloween tradition for generations of Great Escape guests, and this year’s three new shows will give everyone even more to experience after dark,” said Andrew Burggraf, park president, Great Escape Resort. “With family-friendly Boo Fest at the theme park and Lodge, families can choose to enjoy a full day or plan an overnight getaway.”
 
Boo Fest fills the theme park with kid-friendly fun from noon to 5 p.m. Fright Fest begins at 5 p.m., when monsters take over the midways and evening scares begin.
 
Three New Shows Bring Fresh Frights

• New: PigFace. A young girl’s dolls come to life in a blood-soaked mainstage horror show. PigFace stalks them one by one before the dolls fight back in a deadly finale featuring audience participation and an early ’90s hip-hop soundtrack. This production is not recommended for children ages 12 and under.
• New: Grunge Monsters. Singing and dancing monsters perform early ’90s grunge hits in a live midway show near Carousel Plaza.
• New: Weird Tales Story Hour. Haunting narration and eerie songs bring chilling stories to life during this evening show.

Four Haunted Houses and Three Scare Zones
Nightmare, Skull Manor, CarnEVIL and Hell Block VI return to test guests’ courage, while Dead in the West, Dark Oaks Graveyard and Sirens bring scares to the midways. Boo Fest activities, Fright Fest entertainment, scare zones and rides are included with theme park admission. Access to the haunted houses are an additional purchase.
 
Exclusive Fright Fest Season Passholder Night
An exclusive Fright Fest Season Passholder Night will take place Friday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 10 p.m. Passholders and their invited guests can enjoy Halloween thrills and be among the first to see the new Great Escape logo unveiled.
 
Admission is included for Enchanted Parks Legend and Hero passholders, plus eligible Six Flags passholders and members who purchased before April 6, 2026. Passholders can bring up to six friends for $19.99 each, with tickets available at the gate.
 
Boo Fest at Great Escape
Families can enjoy Boo Fest Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 26 through Oct. 25, plus Columbus Day, Oct. 12, from noon to 5 p.m. Highlights include:

• Costume Contest: Children ages 12 and under can show off their costumes for a chance to win special prizes.
• Monster Mash: Count Dracula and his spooky friends return with new songs, fresh dance moves and a lively Halloween celebration.
• Trick or Treating: Kids ages 12 and under can collect candy at each Storytown house in Buckaroo Junction.
• Hay Maze: Kids can twist and turn through a playful fall maze in the Fest Area.

 
Boo Fest at Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark
Lodge Boo Fest brings family-friendly Halloween activities to overnight stays Fridays through Sundays, Sept. 25 through Oct. 31, plus Columbus Day, Oct. 12. Guests can pair seasonal fun with year-round indoor waterpark play.
 

• Timbertown Monster Mayhem: Timbertown monsters roam the Lodge for photos and Halloween fun.
• Witchcraft: Kids Club offers a Halloween-themed craft activity for little ghosts and ghouls.
• Halloween Dance Party: Families can enjoy music, dancing and festive fun in the lobby.
• Spooky Tales: Guests can gather by the fireplace for family-friendly stories with a spooky twist.
