Connection and Creativity Shape the Stage at IAAPA Expo 2025
IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando delivered one of the most energized, future-focused weeks ProSlide has seen in years. With strong traffic at the booth, important client connections, and the debut of our newest family attraction, PowerRAPIDS, the week showcased the momentum driving ProSlide and our partners into 2026.
The Expo opened with two incredible events: an EDUTour, ‘Sea the Innovation: Inside Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas’, where guests explored the newest Icon Class Ship, and Water Park Day, which featured thoughtful sessions at Island H2O and a behind-the-scenes tour of Universal Volcano Bay. The creative, collaborative tone from these events continued onto the show floor, where the ProSlide booth became a gathering point for operators, developers, partners, and more.
Visitors returned many times throughout the week, often bringing colleagues and partners back to continue conversations, ask questions about water ride models, and discuss upcoming park developments. It was especially encouraging to see how naturally people settled into the space, a high-energy environment designed to invite connection, spark honest dialogue, and reinforce a sentiment we graciously heard throughout the show: “ProSlide is always there for us.”
PowerRAPIDS Officially Launches
One of the most talked-about moments of the Expo for ProSlide and our partners was the unveiling of PowerRAPIDS, ProSlide’s newest high-energy family rafting attraction. Attendees responded enthusiastically to its combination of:
- dynamic water movement and shifting current,
- immersive, story-driven pacing
- boulder shaping and natural river motion
- multi-generational ride appeal
- operational efficiency
More than one operator captured the mood, noting: “Finally, an all-ages, high-energy water ride the whole family can enjoy together!”
Throughout the show, visitors returned to the booth to rewatch the announcement video, study the PowerRAPIDS model, ask technical questions, and explore how the attraction might fit into their own development plans. The launch confirmed a clear market demand: shared family attractions that feel alive, combining narrative, motion, and connection in a way operators have been waiting for, but have not experienced until now.
High-Value Engagements
Throughout the week, ProSlide engaged with operators and partners across every major region, gathering authentic feedback and firsthand insights to support upcoming projects and ride design. These conversations also reaffirmed ProSlide’s approach to water ride development: family-centered design, high-performance engineering, and long-term partnership.
Operators emphasized the growing importance of shared family experiences; a theme reflected in the strong response to PowerRAPIDS. There was also clear interest in story-driven water attractions, with many discussing narrative pacing and the blending of visuals with excitement and harnessing the power of water and its movement.
Many attendees highlighted development plans with safety, reliability, and high-performance standards at the centre of those projects. These insights align closely with ProSlide’s guiding focus: creating attractions that deliver meaningful guest connection and sustained operational value.
Looking to 2026
IAAPA Expo 2025 reaffirmed the strength and creativity of the global water park community. With the world’s first installation of PowerRAPIDS debuting in February 2026 at Aquatopia Water Park in Vietnam, and a robust series of major projects underway, ProSlide enters 2026 with renewed momentum and a clear vision for the future of water park entertainment.
