NEAAPA Spring Leadership Seminar

Let’s face it, we are ALL middle managers. We all have someone we report to and people we serve. But the pressure we feel is not just from above or below… when it’s time to make a decision, we can feel the weight of our impact from our bosses, employees, guests, families, and friends… all at the same time.
The question is, are you making the most of this opportunity?
In this session, participants will be challenged to shift a “stuck in the middle” mindset to a less limiting and more empowering way to look at daily situations. They will also walk away with practical strategies to thrive from a position of positive influence.
- Reframe the view from the middle – less inward pressure, more outward influence
- Explore dynamic work structures that allow leaders to empower themselves as well as their teams
- Identify practical methods to manage and lead in 360 degrees
About the Speaker
Matt is a speaker, author, coach, podcast host, friend, husband, dog dad, drummer and coaster nerd. He began his career in the attractions industry at 18 years old as a ride operator. That initial rush of operating big machines and entertaining people has turned into a passion for the industry and helping others. First and foremost, Matt is an optimist, which is where the name of his company comes from. He truly believes that any human performance issue can be solved if we are willing to look in the right places - which could be in the mirror.
Matt now “helps leaders grow” with targeted training and coaching opportunities for all leaders in the attractions industry. Matt, his wife Linda, and their dog Otis live in Hendersonville, NC.
