International Ride Training’s Patty Beazley receives AIMS International 2024 Safety Award

Founder and managing member of International Ride Training Patty Beazley was awarded Amusement Industry Manufacturer and Suppliers (AIMS) International’s 2024 Safety Award during Amusement Today’s 26th Annual Golden Ticket Awards on Saturday, September 7 at Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. This award is presented annually by AIMS International to an organization or individual that demonstrates leadership, innovation, and foresight in improving safety in the attractions industry.

Patty is a current member of ASTM International, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), NEAAPA – The Northeast’s Entertainment Association, and the World Waterpark Association (WWA). Patty was awarded the Harold Chance Award for Best Presentation at the AIMS Safety Seminar in 2004; Antonio Zamperla Safety Award in 2005 and Best Presentation at the WWA Seminar in 2005. From 2007 to 2014, she served as the Education Chairperson and Seminar Director for AIMS. She has had published articles in various industry publications. In September of 2018, Patty was featured in Amusement Today’s “Women of Influence” section.
 
“I am deeply honored and privileged to receive the 2024 AIMS International Safety Award,” said Beazley. “My father always advised me to pursue a career that I am passionate about. I have found that in the intersection of the amusement industry and education. I firmly believe that without education, safety in our industry would be compromised.”
 
Beazley, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, has over 40 years of operational experience in the areas of amusement rides and water park safety, educational facilitation, leadership training and human resource functions. Her career in the attractions industry began at Opryland USA Theme Park in Nashville, Tennessee as a front-line employee. When the park closed in 1997, Patty was the Director of Operations. She became the General Manager at Nashville Shores Water Park. Since 2002, she has been a consultant working with clients across the globe. Patty is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, having earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology.
