Funtown Splashtown USA is excited to announce its newest addition to the park, the Lazy Lobster Lagoon.

Located within Splashtown USA, the 3,200 sq ft interactive splashpad, Lazy Lobster Lagoon promises to be a great place for the entire family to cool off and relax. “We really needed an area where mom and dad could play with the kids, that didn’t involve waiting in a long line for a slide, or just swimming around the middle pool”, Cory Hutchinson, General Manager of Funtown Splashtown USA stated. “The kiddie pool was great for our smallest guests, but there just wasn’t very much of a chance for the entire family to all be together and actually have everyone enjoy themselves. Lazy Lobster will definitely check that box in Splashtown”.
 

 
Features for the new splashpad are provided by Vortex International out of Montreal Canada, while the flooring surface will be designed and fabricated by Life Floor. “Vortex is a standout in the industry for creative and interactive splashpad features, and were great to work with on the design and layout of features”. The splashpad will be divided into 2 sections, one side with larger, taller features and more water flow, while the other will cater to toddlers and younger guests in the park. Life Floor provides a soft and safe surface for play, while adding a splash of color to the park. “We’ve wanted Life Floor in the park for years, so this project provided the opportunity to finally work with them”, Hutchinson remarked. “We actually found room in our budget to add Life Floor to several other locations throughout Splashtown as well, so we’re really excited to add a safe, grippy surface that adds so much color and pop”.
 
The Lazy Lobster Lagoon will replace the Fun Lagoon kiddie pool in Splashtown. “We’re working with local contractors to get the area prepped, and once concrete is poured and cured Baynum Amusement Solutions will be here to install all of the Life Floor, as well as put a fresh coat of paint on several of our slides, so we’re really excited”.
 
Funtown Splashtown USA opens for the 2026 season with the Funtown rides park beginning operations on  May 23rd, while the Lazy Lobster Lagoon will make its debut when Splashtown opens on June 20th.
