BOTAC Urges Massachusetts Nonprofits to Prepare for Upcoming Security Grants

Massachusetts expects to announce applications this fall for two state-funded programs that help eligible nonprofits address security needs: the Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Grant Program and the Commonwealth Nonprofit Security Personnel Grant Program. The programs are intended for organizations at high risk of hate crimes or extremist attacks. Application dates and requirements have not yet been announced.

Black Ops Tactical Consulting (BOTAC) encourages organizations considering an application to begin documenting their security needs now. A third-party threat and vulnerability assessment can identify site-specific risks, prioritize improvements, and help connect proposed projects to documented findings. Applicants should check the new grant notices for assessment requirements and eligible expenses.
