ADG Receives 2026 WWA Leading Edge Award for Summit Canyon Renovation at Water World Colorado

Aquatic Development Group (ADG) is proud to announce that their work as a specialty design/builder on Summit Canyon at Hyland Hills’s Water World Colorado was honored with the Leading Edge Award at the 2026 World Waterpark Association (WWA) Symposium & Trade Show, during the opening general session.

The WWA Leading Edge Award is presented annually to parks, and suppliers for creativity and excellence in the development of new themes, facilities, or expansions within the water attractions industry. The award recognizes suppliers who introduce innovative designs, products, and services that elevate the guest experience and benefit the industry as a whole.

Summit Canyon at Water World Colorado
Marking the park’s third collaboration with ADG and its largest redevelopment project since the 1980s, Summit Canyon transformed 2.5 acres of Water World's historic entry footprint into an immersive, mountain-adventure-themed expansion. Inspired by the natural beauty and outdoor spirit of the Colorado Rockies, the project debuted this past Summer 2026.

ADG provided complete end-to-end services, including conceptual and schematic site planning, structural programming, full theme design, narrative development, and specialty design/build on all pools, water features, and advanced filtration systems.

Designed for maximum demographic appeal and operational versatility, the area features a flexible layout that functions during standard park hours while offering independent operating capabilities for evening events such as Glow Nights and 21+ Sunset Swims.

Receiving the 2026 WWA Leading Edge Award underscores ADG’s commitment to delivering tailored specialty aquatic design/build solutions that resolve complex site challenges, exceed client expectations, and drive long-term commercial success.
