More than 40 U.S. theme parks set 2021 reopening dates

More than 40 theme parks across the United States have set 2021 reopening dates after the coronavirus pandemic forced many of the amusement wonderlands to postpone their 2020 season openings or remain closed for the entire year.

U.S. theme parks are hoping 2021 is better than 2020. At the moment, U.S. theme parks fall into three categories: Already opened, tentatively planning to return in the spring or still shuttered without a reopening date set.

Help Fleck Recover From His Stroke

Image

As you might know, Don had a stroke on Thursday, January 28th. He had a deep brain bleed which has affected the movement of the left side of his body. Thankfully, this has not changed his witty personality! This will keep him out of work for the foreseeable future. We hope this GoFundMe will help to raise the funds to help cover some of the cost of his rehab while continuing to pay the monthly bills until he can get home. We all know how strong this man is. He is a fighter and we know he will pull through this, but there comes a time when you need to ask for help.

Update: Fleck is being transferred to Vanderbilt Rehab Center in Newport, RI. They are talking about it being for 3 weeks at this point. He is not thrilled about it, but he is happy to be alive and getting the help he needs. He is getting daily rounds of OT and PT.

If you would like to reach out to Don, you can send him an email at dfleckcre@gmail.com or on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/donald.k.fleck. If you would like to send anything to him, the address is: Don Fleck, Vanderbilt Rehab Center, 20 Powel Ave Room 602A, Newport, RI 02840.

Thank you all for your generous donations and prayers!

What You Should Know About COVID-19 and the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and Other EEO Laws

As we start to turn our attention to the 2021 Summer Season, one question coming into the NEAAPA Office lately has been if a business can mandate that employees get the COVID-19 vaccine. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission answers many questions on this issue.
