International Ride Training’s “Ride Camp 2021” will be presented this year in a combination of live and virtual events. For those facilities that are not certified under IRT’s International Ride Operator Certification program or cannot travel to one of IRT’s in-person events this year due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, IRT is hosting “Ride Camp 2021 – On Demand.”
This exclusively virtual education program features over thirty courses presented by industry leaders including, among many others, NEAAPA Board Member and IRT Managing Member Erik Beard, Morey’s Piers Director of Operations Dino Fazio, Chief Operating Officer of Dreamworld (Gold Coast, Australia) Greg Yong, Cedar Point Director of Ride Operations Karrah Folk, and Managing Director of Hospitality Intelligence Anna Danau. Course offerings for Ride Camp 2021 On-Demand focus on such topics as accessibility and ADA compliance, ride and aquatic operations safety, documentation best practices, employee motivation, guest service, generational distinctions in the workforce, recognizing normalization of deviance and preventing incidents, and cultural awareness with J-1 employees.
Ride Camp On-Demand courses are perfect for amusement parks, waterparks, mobile attractions, family entertainment centers, and any other attraction incorporating ride operations. Ride Camp 2021 – On Demand courses open February 15 and will be available through at least March 31.
Attendees will receive Continuing Education Units from Tunxis Community College, Bristol, Connecticut suitable for maintaining AIMS, NAARSO, and IAAPA industry certifications.
